Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to support transit and multimodal projects across the United States. The role can be based in any US CDM Smith office and requires coordinating models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP into a federated, clash-checked deliverable.

You will lead Navisworks clash detection, enforce BIM standards, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients and subconsultants to ensure consistent drawings and data

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Experience with BIM and model coordination across disciplines.
• Knowledge of transit agency and DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical/transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establishes, documents, and enforces CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for finished drawings.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans and advise on model-based deliverables.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements.
