Job summary

The City of New York is seeking an Intelligence Analyst assigned full‑time to the Domestic Violence Bureau under the NYS DCJS STRIVE grant. The role focuses on gathering and modeling crime data to support intelligence‑driven prosecution strategies in the Bronx and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will interpret analytic results for court and team discussions, while maintaining strict data protection, privacy, and records management standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with at least three years of community work related to the duties described.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (data science, mathematics/statistics, computer science, or criminal justice).
• Formal intelligence analysis experience or certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel (pivot tables, charts, functions).
• Strong data mapping skills including geocoding and photo editing.
• Experience with Photoshop, ArcGIS, i2 Analyst Notebook, Palantir is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and process data to model crime trends and generate actionable intelligence.
• Assist in developing intelligence‑driven prosecution strategies.
• Present results of analysis to legal, investigative, and support teams.
• Demonstrate superior organizational, time management, and written communication skills.
• Provide full range of intelligence, analytical, and investigative support as needed.
• Support the Domestic Violence Bureau and Strategic Innovations Division.
