Job summary

Bronx District Attorney's Office is seeking a Deputy Chief of Data Analytics to lead the Strategic Planning & Analytics Bureau in promote fairness, effectiveness and accountability in prosecutions.

The role ensures data is leveraged to strengthen decision-making and operational improvements, translating priorities into data-driven analytics and research agendas. A minimum of five years supervising data analysis work is required, with advanced knowledge of analytic tools and criminal justice data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 24 credits in auditing/related fields and five years of auditing experience.
• Minimum 18 months in managerial or executive capacity or supervision of several audit teams.
• Experience with GAGAS and public sector auditing standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bureau Chief in shaping analytics and research strategy aligned with priorities.
• Supervise daily work of data analysts and standardize data management systems.
• Translate organizational priorities into actionable analytics and agendas.
• Provide leadership on analytic techniques for prosecution and criminal justice topics.
• Ensure analyses are accurate, sound, and actionable for policy decisions.
• Review products before dissemination to ensure quality and clarity.
• Collaborate with legal bureaus to diagnose operational issues and craft data-driven solutions.
• Inform strategic policy rollouts by establishing metrics and tracking trends.
