Job summary

Legal.io is seeking an IP Paralegal to support the Trademark, Marketing, and Copyright teams. This remote role is within the United States and runs for an initial 3-month engagement with a pay rate of $60–$70 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Manage Business & Legal Affairs Slack intake and production clearance, including reviewing intake submissions, screening for AI, talent, and music constraints, and updating dashboard status.
• Handle music licensing and other third-party supplier/licensing agreements by reviewing and approving licenses, managing Performing Rights Organization obligations, and maintaining the Music License Tracker.
• Field questions regarding personal and company asset releases and manage offline redlines on third-party paper.
• Oversee AI governance and compliance, including managing the AI Content Project Log and applying EU AI Act thresholds.
• Conduct content substantiation first-pass for Marketing Legal, pre-screening scripts and videos, and flagging exceptions.
• Manage trademark takedowns and online infringement triage by issuing standard takedowns and escalating complex matters.
• Draft and organize work such as Marketing M&A Integration FAQs and create repositories for claims and disclosures.
• Participate in workflow testing and administration, including agreements workflow and content review upgrades.
