Job summary

Qualifications

  • Paralegal experience in IP law preferred.
  • Experience with patent and trademark prosecution and USPTO filings preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, proofread, and prepare legal correspondence and intellectual property documents.
  • Prepare, review, and electronically file U.S. patent and trademark applications and related documents with the USPTO.
  • Maintain patent and trademark docketing systems and track filing deadlines, office actions, maintenance fees, renewals, and other critical dates.
  • Prepare and distribute docket and status reports for attorneys, clients, and management.
  • Assist with patent and trademark prosecution, including preparing declarations, assignments, powers of attorney, IDSs, and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate domestic and foreign patent and trademark filings.
  • Conduct legal research and evaluate relevant information.
  • Maintain client files, databases, and legal documents.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, proofreading, and file maintenance.
