Integration Support Engineer

The PlanIT Group is seeking an Integration Support Engineer to implement office moves, consolidations, closures, internet circuit testing/turn-up, equipment refresh and replacements, and assist with office integration projects.
Must Haves:
- Five or more years of experience in tier 2 network/computer engineering, support, or related technical field. Valid driver’s license and U.S. passport.
- Versatile background with systems administration, help desk, networking support, end-user training, VMware and/or other virtualization platforms, GPO and Active Directory troubleshooting, Azure, O365 email, server configuration, and end-user support. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Place equipment orders and track deliveries.
- Provide post-migration support, including connecting to computers via LogMeIn and troubleshooting issues.
- Manage issue logs, document incidents and resolutions, and communicate support issues to the project team.
- Coordinate with Telco teams to verify ISP circuit information.
- Conduct office closures, decommission servers, ISP equipment, WAPs, and other hardware.
- Perform office moves, including shutting down equipment, preparing systems for relocation, and setting up in new locations.
- Verify new internet circuits and connect networking equipment.
- Complete e-waste inventory and coordinate pickups.
- Support go-live activities, including user training on O365, company portal, spam filtering, archiving, and encryption.
- Assess application support by vendors and plan upgrades for unsupported platforms.
- Manage network refresh projects, such as replacing UPS units, installing WAPs, and assisting with RingCentral VoIP migrations.
- Support Windows Server 2012/2016 and Windows 10 configuration and troubleshooting.
- Migrate computers onto the corporate network and restore applications and user data.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience supporting Microsoft environments including O365 (Email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams), Windows 10, Server, AD/Azure AD, Intune.
- Minimum 7 years supporting Windows OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPOs.
- Effective collaboration with internal teams, end-users, management, and third-party vendors.
- Professional attitude with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally.
- Experience in application administration and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of monitoring systems like PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios.
- Ability to work with distributed teams.
- Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, SD-WAN, VLANs, basic web traffic filtering, and voice network fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with expertise in Outlook, Excel, Word; familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint is a plus.
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Physical ability to set up racks, monitor arms, switches, firewalls, UPS, and WAPs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
