KellyMitchell is seeking a Hybrid Technical Business Analyst / IA in Charlotte, NC (hybrid work). The role bridges business requirements with technical data validation and API considerations. Job Summary

Our client, a leader communication provider, is seeking a hybrid Technical BA / IA professional who can bridge business requirements and technical data validation. The biggest differentiators are analytical curiosity, requirements discovery, and data validation skills, not just traditional BA work. This position is W-2 only. We are not open to working with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

• Work directly with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, QA, and technical teams to understand new requests and desired outcomes
• Elicit and clarify requirements when stakeholders know what they want to accomplish but cannot fully articulate the technical need
• Translate business requirements into clear technical and functional requirements that development and technical teams can execute
• Identify missing information, edge cases, dependencies, conflicting requirements, and downstream impacts
• Analyze whether existing services, APIs, systems, and data can satisfy the requested capability
• Investigate how services, APIs, applications, and data interact across a complex enterprise environment
• Understand integration points, systems of record, service dependencies, endpoints, and data sources
• Review API requests/responses, data structures, mappings, logs, and service behavior
• Work with REST APIs, Postman, JSON, CURL, Swagger, and related integration technologies
• Trace data and transactions across systems to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or failures
• Partner with developers and technical teams to determine whether existing services satisfy requirements or whether additional work/data is needed

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Integration Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar
• Experience analyzing APIs, system integrations, application workflows, and data flows
• Working knowledge of REST APIs/web services and tools such as Postman Jira Confluence SQL
• Ability to create or interpret process flows, system diagrams, API mappings, and data mappings

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• JSON / XML CURL Swagger SOAP / SOAP UI / WSDL SQL / data querying and validation
• Chrome DevTools Single Page Applications Splunk AppDynamics Grafana JMeter UML2 / PlantUML API and data mapping Integration testing Backend/service validation

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $77,000 and $110,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
