Job summary

Neighborhood Health Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant to integrate care within our primary care clinic for adults and children.

The BHC provides brief, evidence-based assessments, collaborates with PCPs, screens for suicide risk, and supports families. Spanish language ability is highly preferred, and candidates must meet Oregon licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or PsyD is required.
• Oregon licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) is required.
• Clinical experience in integrated care within primary care preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert integrated care to adult and pediatric patients in primary care.
• Consult with physicians and care teams to develop clear treatment plans.
• Screen for suicidality/homicide risk and coordinate with crisis services.
• Engage in brief solution-focused treatments and patient education.
• Document in Epic EHR during sessions and for billing.
