Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a full-time behavioral health clinician to join the Hampton Health site. You will work in an embedded role within a primary care team, providing short-term therapy and using evidence-based modalities to address mental health and substance use needs.

The role emphasizes collaborative care, independent work, and the ability to triage, plan, and treat within a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or other directly-related Human Service discipline.
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) required in the state of NH.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records prior to initial evaluation to familiarize with the patient's history and perform a thorough assessment.
• Assess patients for behavioral health disorders and range of substance use disorders.
• Utilize clinical skills in brief treatment approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Therapy, Supportive Therapy, Behavioral Activation and Psycho-Education.
• Collaborate with the primary care team to design behavioral health treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Design and deliver behavioral health and substance use education curricula for staff and providers.
• Complete all clinical documentation within established timelines and policies.
• Learn insurance standards for commercial insurances and Mass Health products.
• Develop supervision plans with supervisor and review performance regularly.
• Build and maintain relationships with physicians, patients, external providers, and the broader health care community.
