Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks an integrated behavioral health clinician to work within Plaistow/Epping Pediatrics, collaborating with primary care teams to assess, treat, and educate patients with behavioral health needs. This full-time role supports care for ages 3-25 in a shared primary care setting.

Responsibilities include assessments, brief therapies (CBT, motivational interviewing), and developing plans of care with the pediatric team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in NH required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records prior to initial evaluation to understand patient history and perform a thorough assessment.
• Assess patients for behavioral health disorders and substance use severity across the continuum.
• Utilize brief treatment approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Supportive Therapy.
• In collaboration with the primary care team, design behavioral health treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Develop and deliver education curricula on behavioral health and substance use for staff and providers.
• Complete all clinical documentation within required timeframes and in line with policies.
• Learn and apply insurance standards for commercial and Mass Health products as needed.
• Meet regularly with supervisor to discuss clinical, organizational, and agency issues.
