Job summary

WestCare Arizona I Inc. is seeking a qualified professional to provide mental health and substance abuse services in Bullhead City, AZ.

The role involves collaborating with counselors to assess and support clients diagnosed with substance use disorders or mental illness. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health or counseling, with a preference for bilingual capability and experience in intake, assessments, and program eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must possess Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card.
• Able to pass Arizona Central Registry background check.
• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health and/or substance use counseling or equivalent experience.
• Associates with behavioral health major and/or working toward a degree with qualifying experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assessments and evaluations to determine level of service.
• Administer approved assessment instruments for treatment.
• Prepare induction packets and verify program eligibility.
• Coordinate entry of clients into the program and communicate with agencies.
• Deliver presentations and seminars on WestCare's services.
• Possibly conduct assessments in jails or institutions.
• Respond to inquiries about program information.
• Coordinate transportation of new clients from jail facilities.
• Prepare correspondence to referral sources about assessments.
• Uphold WestCare Foundation mission and ethics; perform other duties as assigned.
