Job summary

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking an Intake Coordinator for day or night shift to coordinate assessments and referrals. You will work closely with community, clinical and support staff to ensure timely authorizations and admissions, with duties spanning inquiries and scheduling in a busy behavioral health setting.

The Intake Worker/Coordinatoris accountable for coordinating the assessment and referral activities at the facility. This position involves extensive contact with the community. The position works closely withutilizationreview staff, business officestaffand clinical staff toinsurecontinuity of communication.This position is also responsible for inquiry calls, tracking theinitialauthorizationcompletion and scheduling of evaluations and admissions. Shifts available: Day or Night.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education:

Highschool diploma or equivalent.Some college preferred with a focus on psychology or nursing.

Experience:

Minimumof 2 years’ experience in an outpatient environment, preferably in mental health.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITON:

Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.

Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance
