Palo Verde Behavioral Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Supervisor, Assessment and Referral for its Intake/Admissions Department. Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, you will ensure smooth processes for responding to intake calls, referrals, and admissions into the hospital.

Responsibilities include supervising intake staff, assisting with interviewing and training, and providing leadership to serve patients and referral sources promptly.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required in related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an intake/admissions department in a healthcare facility (preferrable behavioral health).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse through the State of Arizona or licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Examiners (LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT).
• Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; annual PPD or every 4 years chest x-ray thereafter.
• Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Accountable for assisting in management of the department, providing supervision for Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately.
• Assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Assists in daily administrative duties, assist the Admissions Director in assigned tasks, complete Intake Assessor and duties as well as Admissions Coordinator as needed within department.
• Providing effective leadership within the Admissions Department and the ability to organize Admission staff to effectively and timely serve patients, families, referral sources through the referral and Admission process.
