Job summary

Palo Verde Behavioral Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Supervisor, Assessment and Referral to lead the Intake/Admissions Department. Under the Director of Admissions, you will ensure smooth and orderly processes for responding to intake calls, referrals, and admissions.

Responsibilities include supervising Intake staff, assisting in interviewing, hiring and training, and guiding the admissions workflow to serve patients and families efficiently.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree in related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years in intake/admissions in healthcare.
• Licensure: RN or behavioral health licensure as LAC/LPC/LMSW/LCSW/LAMFT/LMFT.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for supervising Intake Staff and handling crisis intervention.
• Assist Director with interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
• Assist with daily admin duties and admissions coordination as needed.
• Provide effective leadership and organize staff to serve patients and referrals.

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced, Supervisor, Assessment and Referral for our Intake/Admissions Department. Come join our Team!

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the Supervisor, Assessment and Referral, assures smooth and orderly processes are followed for responding to Intake calls, referrals, and admission into the hospital.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Accountable for assisting in management of the department, providing supervision for Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately.
• Assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Assists in daily administrative duties, assist the Admissions Director in assigned tasks, complete Intake Assessor and duties as well as Admissions Coordinator as needed within department.
• Providing effective leadership within the Admissions Department and the ability to organize Admission staff to effectively and timely serve patients, families, referral sources through the referral and Admission process.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education: Master's Degree required in related field

Experience: minimum 1-3 years of experience in an intake/admissions department in a healthcare facility (preferrable behavioral health).

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse through the State of Arizona required or licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Examiners as an LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITON:

Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.

Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance
