Job summary

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital in Tucson, AZ, seeks an experienced Assessment Counselor/Coordinator for our Outpatient Department. You will conduct clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and provide telephonic and in-person risk assessments.

You will determine level of care in collaboration with the hospital psychiatrist and facilitate admissions when appropriate, supporting ongoing treatment in a compassionate, patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field; RN welcome to apply without Master's.
• 3-5 years minimum experience, preferred.
• Licenses: LMSW, LPC, LISAC, or RN preferred.

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced Assessment Counselor/Coordinator for our Outpatient Department! Come Join Our Team!!

The Assessment Counselor/Coordinator conducts clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program also referred to as “IOP”. This position is the initial contact for patients and referral sources, providing clinical assessment and determination of ongoing clinical needs. The Counselor provides telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment. The Counselor also determines appropriate level of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist to determine disposition. If patient is admitted to the outpatient program, the Counselor facilities the admission process and provides appropriate clinical information for ongoing treatment.
