Job summary

Qualifications

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced Intake Assessment Counselor/Coordinator! Come Join Our Team!!

The Assessment Cuselor/Coordinator is the initial contact for patients and referral sources, providing clinical assessment and determination of ongoing clinical needs. The Counselor provides telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment. The Counselor also determines appropriate level of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist to determine disposition. If Patient is admitted to the hospital, the Counselor facilities the admission process and provides appropriate clinical information for ongoing treatment.

The Assessment Counselor/Coordinator also conducts clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program also referred to as “IOP”.

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in related field

Experience: 3-5 years minimum experience, preferred.

Licences: LMSW, LPC, LISAC, or RN, preferred.
