Job summary

Interim HealthCare of the Twin Cities in Roseville, MN is seeking an Intake Coordinator to streamline patient inquiries and gather essential information for admissions and referrals. You will be the central point of contact for potential patients and referral sources, ensuring timely responses and accurate data collection.

The role supports a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with a competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Three (3) years relevant experience in medical services or clinical environment with knowledge of medical terminology; intake experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a contact telephone liaison interfacing with referral sources, outside agencies, health professionals and field staff.
• Achieve and maintain timely and accurate prior insurance authorizations for new and current patients.
• Collects and enters customer information into the management information system.
• Completes intake screening including obtaining, documenting and analyzing all required information to make a preliminary admission decision.
• Receives and logs referrals and prepares reports and responses to inquiries; provides telephonic contact and data entry for customers seeking care/services.
• Communicates with potential patients and/or referral sources that have inquired about services to answer questions and gather referral information.
