Job summary

Compass Health Center is seeking an Intake Specialist to be a key contact for patients during intake and admission, delivering compassionate, confidential support and guiding them through our programs. This remote role includes initial onsite training at our Northbrook facility and two schedule options; applicants in IL/MD/DC/VA preferred, but remote work is available.

You will handle calls, explain programs, schedule appointments, collect demographics and insurance information, and perform data

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field.
• Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Have previous administrative, customer service, or scheduling experience.
• Medical/insurance office experience would be a plus.
• Are organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Role is fully remote (training onsite for up to 4 weeks in Northbrook).

Responsibilities

• Answering incoming patient and parent phone calls and responding to phone messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Explain all Compass programs.
• Scheduling appointments for new and existing patients as well as complete screenings for potential patients calling for services.
• Obtaining detailed, confidential patient demographic and insurance information in preparation for intake.
• Performing data entry of patient information.
• Performing various administrative tasks such as scanning, emailing, faxing and mailing documents.

Weekly outpatient therapy isn’t always enough, and a trip to the ER isn’t the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis – every day, wehelp people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

As an Intake Specialist, you will be a key point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in the intake and patient admission process. If you are passionate about providing patients with exemplary care, while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric condition, you would be a great addition to our team.

Our dedicated operations teams work behind the scenes to bring our shared mission to life. Each department delivers their own set of strengths which empower our clinicians to focus on their expertise, and ultimately perform the meaningful work that we do.

*Training: This position is remote but requires onsite training for up to 4 weeks at our Northbrook facility.

We currently offer two scheduling options for this position. Available schedules include:

• Sunday-Thursday
  • Sunday: 12:30PM – 8:30PM CT
  • Monday–Thursday: 1:30PM – 9:30PM CT
• Saturday & Monday-Thursday
  • Saturday: 12:30PM – 8:30PM CT
  • Monday-Thursday: 1:30PM – 9:30PM CT

Schedule assignment will be discussed during the interview process

What You’ll Do

• While this role is fully remote (except for the first few weeks of training ideally), we are prioritizing candidates in the location of our patients in Illinois, or Maryland, Washington DC, or Virginia
