DeCoach Recovery Centre in Dayton, OH is seeking an Intake Specialist to welcome clients by phone and in person, collect essential information, and schedule in-person assessments across our facilities.

You will verify eligibility, maintain confidential records, and coordinate with clinical teams to ensure timely, compassionate care. This full-time role emphasizes privacy, empathy, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a client-facing role (healthcare, social services, or customer service).
• Comfort with data entry and electronic records.
• Clear verbal and written communication; discretion and respect for confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new clients by phone and in person, guiding them through intake with warmth and respect.
• Interview clients to gather personal, medical, and service-related information.
• Verify eligibility and documentation.
• Enter and maintain accurate records in electronic systems, protecting confidentiality.
• Connect clients with the right internal teams for timely follow-up and care.
• Explain processes and next steps clearly so no one feels lost.
• Recognize urgent or complex situations and escalate to supervisors or clinical staff.
• Follow privacy laws, organizational policies, and quality standards.

Intake Specialist | DeCoach Recovery Centre | Dayton, OH

For many people, the hardest step is the first phone call or walk through our door. As an Intake Specialist, you're the person who makes that moment feel safe, welcoming, and doable. Our Intake Specialists are the first point of contact when someone calls to get information on our treatment programs, and you will work with our other departments to get them scheduled for an in-person assessment at one of our facilities.

What You'll Do

• Welcome new clients by phone and in person, and guide them through intake with warmth and respect
• Interview clients to gather personal, medical, and service-related information
• Verify eligibility and documentation
• Enter and maintain accurate records in our electronic systems, protecting confidentiality
• Connect clients with the right internal teams so they get timely follow-up and care

What You Bring

Required:
