Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing required.
• A minimum of three years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Michigan required.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment to identify appropriate level of care for potential patients.
• Coordinate the referral and intake process and facilitate admission.
• Maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff.
• Work with Business Office on patient financial data, verification and insurance prior authorization as needed.
• Coordinate with UR Department for certification of patients admitted.
