Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.
• Experience: A minimum of three years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• License: Registered Nurse RN license issued by the State of Michigan required.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessments to determine the appropriate level of care for potential patients.
• Coordinate referral and intake process; assist physician and admit patients.
• Maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
• Collaborate with Business Office for patient financial data verification and insurance pre-authorization as needed.
• Coordinate with UR for certification of admitted patients.
