Job summary

Goodwill Gulf Coast is seeking an Intake Specialist to join the Mission Services team in Spanish Fort, AL. This full-time, hourly position supports intake, orientation, and administrative tasks for multiple programs.

Responsibilities include conducting intake, guiding participants to services, entering data, and assisting with new hire orientations. The role requires high school diploma or GED, and strong MS Office skills; occasional early or late shifts may occur.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related customer service, administrative, human services, or program support experience preferred.
• Experience conducting orientations, interviews, assessments, or participant intake preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service by assisting callers, visitors, employees, participants, and coworkers.
• Conveys information about Goodwill Gulf Coast's mission, services, programs, staff, and locations to internal and external customers.
• Conducts comprehensive intake with external participants to identify eligibility for all programs and services.
• Reviews intake responses and refers participants to program staff for enrollment and discussion.
• Accurately enters participant intake information and services into the agency databases and reporting systems.
• Performs new hire orientations for Goodwill Gulf Coast employees and provides required information and materials.
• Receives and routes calls/texts using the telephone system and delivers messages.
