The Behavioral Center of Michigan, an accredited psychiatric hospital providing high levels of psychiatric care to adult patients and committed to person focused care, is looking for an Intake Referral Coordinator who will be responsible for obtaining initial clinical information which is communicated to the Charge Nurse or physician. The coordinator schedules a clinical evaluation for the client, and will determine the appropriate level of care. He/she will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources; and also provides crisis intervention as necessary. He/she also provides information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.
Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. They must have a minimum of 2 years experience in an Intake Department, preferably in adult psychiatrics.
