Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System is seeking a PRN Intake Registered Nurse to support admissions and care coordination. The RN will work weekends, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., providing professional nursing care aligned with the multidisciplinary treatment plan.

The role requires psychiatric nursing experience and an active nursing license in Mississippi or a valid multi-state license. BSN preferred and CPR knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• One year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing required.
• Licensure by the Mississippi Board of Nursing or approved multi-state license (NCSBN).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in a manner consistent with the Parkwood philosophy and multidisciplinary plan of care.
• Prescribe, coordinate and delegate nursing care within the nursing process.
• Review medical documentation for patient admission to the hospital.
