Job summary

Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO seeks an Intake RN to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessments, coordinate referrals, and support admission decisions under the Intake Director. You will collaborate with physicians, families, referral sources and unit staff while coordinating verification of insurance benefits and prior authorizations as needed.

This PRN position requires flexibility to cover weekends and holidays, and requires current MO nursing licensure, CPR, and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and be licensed as an RN in Missouri.
• 2–3 years in substance abuse or psychiatric treatment settings preferred.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment to identify appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate referral, intake, and admission processes with referral sources, families and staff.
• Work with Business Office for patient financial data and insurance prior authorization.
