Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute is seeking an Intake RN to provide professional nursing care per hospital policy. You will assess patient needs, plan and implement nursing care, evaluate progress, and modify plans as needed.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and teamwork with diverse professionals is essential. Qualifications include ADN/BSN or equivalent, Texas RN license, current BLS, and 2 years of behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the State of Texas and current BLS within 30 days of hire
• Certified in facility approved verbal de-escalation and physical crisis management within 30 days of hire
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in behavioral healthcare, tele-health, or case management

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including supervising medication schedules and evaluating patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to determine best care.
• Maintain a safe environment and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Offer social support and encourage participation in groups and therapeutic activities.
• Conduct intake assessments through patient and family interviews and document case history.
