Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Indianapolis is seeking an Intake Nurse for the 3p–11p shift at our residential facility. You will manage the medical intake and coordinate care for clients entering treatment, ensuring a smooth transition.

Ideal candidates hold a post-high school diploma, Indiana licensure (or multistate compact), and have experience in addiction treatment, with strong communication and multitasking skills to support a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Minimum one year diploma program post-high school.
Current licensure to practice in Indiana, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
Addictions-related experience preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and work efficiently.
Compassionate and dignified approach aligned with recovery principles.

Responsibilities

Manage complete medical intake process to ensure seamless transition into treatment.
Complete nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, scheduling appointments and labs).
Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain med logs.
Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams for coordination of care.
Ensure complete, timely and accurate medical documentation for each client.

What You'll Do
