Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Intake Specialist to assess housing crises and connect households with resources in the Kent County Coordinated Entry System. You will conduct assessments, determine eligibility and priority, and refer clients to housing programs and services.

You will enter data into HMIS, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with partners to ensure timely access to resources. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, with optional certification support in 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and respond to inquiries in person and by phone.
• Assess housing needs and priorities for households in crisis.
• Prescreen and intake using established tools and procedures.
• Enter participant data into HMIS accurately and promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy per policy.
• Refer households to housing resources and programs.
• Coordinate with community partners for referrals and follow-ups.
• Stay current with program requirements and trends.
