Job summary

Direct Counsel is partnering with a Los Angeles plaintiff’s personal injury firm to recruit an Intake Director. This leadership role demands hands-on management of the pre-litigation flow, a high-volume intake pipeline, and strategic use of analytics to improve conversions and outcomes.

The ideal candidate will mentor teams, drive case value through collaboration with attorneys, and maintain exceptional client relationships throughout the intake process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in personal injury law, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Proven expertise in pre-litigation case management and client intake.
• Strong leadership skills to mentor and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal software and case management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the pre-litigation process with case managers and internal departments.
• Lead a high-volume intake pipeline ensuring smooth onboarding and client service.
• Run analytics to identify lead sources, intake success rates, and optimize conversions.
• Drive strategic decisions in case evaluation, medical management, and settlements.
• Conduct regular case audits and team meetings to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain regular client contact to build relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with attorneys and leadership to align case strategy and firm goals.
• Foster a motivating team culture with accountability and growth.
