Job summary

Quail Run Hospital seeks an Intake Counselor to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, and to manage the intake process from referral to admission. You will coordinate referrals, determine level of care, and maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Services or MSW required.
• Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners licensure preferred.
• Prior intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
• Must have or be able to obtain level one fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate referral and intake process from referral source to admission.
• Determine appropriate level of care and facilitate admission processes.
• Maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
