Job summary

Hina Mauka in Kaneohe, HI is seeking an Intake Screening Specialist to provide substance abuse and mental health screening, assessment and recommendations under the Intake Counselor Supervisor.

You will collaborate with Medical Director, psychiatric professionals, and administrative staff to coordinate intake, authorize care, maintain records, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• CSAC certification and/or advanced degree in social work, psychology, or behavioral science.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial screenings and bio-psycho-social assessments to determine treatment needs and level of care.
• Coordinate with Medical Director and psychiatric professionals as needed.
• Work with insurance/case management for authorization of care.
• Maintain client records per laws and policies and ensure confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Admission Supervisor and Adult Services Manager.
• Communicate with referral sources about patient history and goals.
• Notify administrative staff of new admissions and special needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
