Founded fifteen (15) years ago, NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals is the largest hospital system in the nation providing care to patients with both neurological and medical needs. We serve a unique patient population with complex medical issues, using a multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty approach across nine hospitals in Indiana, Arizona, and Texas, ensuring high-quality care.

Overview

NPH is expanding its Clinical Intake Coordinator team to support patient intake across all markets for both day and night shifts. We seek someone local to the Phoenix market. The Intake Coordinator will work remotely within a team that significantly impacts patient outcomes and success.

Available Shifts and Hours

12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling. The role involves working 3 days per week (36 hours), with potential to work up to 40 hours, including rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and evaluate potential patients through referral systems
  • Communicate with hospitals to ensure smooth admission processes
  • Assess patient needs with Outreach Managers and initiate appropriate actions
  • Build relationships with physicians, hospital staff, and referral sources to promote our services
  • Educate discharge planners, physicians, and referral sources about admissions

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, human services, nursing, or public health; Bachelor's preferred
  • Active LPN or RN license in the state of residence preferred; social work licensure also preferred
  • CPR and CPI certification required, obtained during orientation if applicable
  • At least 1 year of experience in psychiatric admissions preferred
  • Experience in marketing, community relations, or discharge planning is a plus
  • Familiarity with referral systems like NaviHealth and Transferral is a plus
  • Strong multitasking and tech skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
