Via Linda Behavioral Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Intake Coordinator (PRN/Per Diem) to manage the intake/assessment process and provide direct patient care in a behavioral health setting.
Responsibilities include handling inquiry calls, processing referrals, communicating with referral sources, families, patients and staff, performing insurance verification/precertification, patient registration, scheduling evaluations, admissions processing and bed board monitoring.

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility will offer specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions.
Under the direction of the Director of Intake, the Intake Coordinator is responsible for coordinating aspects of the intake/assessment process and providing excellent direct patient care. The responsibilities include efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, processing of referrals for possible admission, knowledge of and maintaining communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Additional responsibilities include insurance verification/precertification, patient registration process, patient observations, scheduling of evaluations, admissions processing, bed board monitoring, and other duties as assigned by the intake leadership team.
