Job summary

Kingwood Pines Hospital in Kingwood, TX is seeking an Intake Coordinator to support scheduling and intake processes for patients seeking inpatient and outpatient services. You will assist counselors, coordinators and the director by coordinating assessments, initiating intake paperwork and collecting insurance information to ensure a smooth admission flow.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of related experience, preferred in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Current CPR, Handle With Care and Verbal De‑Escalation training (obtainable on‑site).
  • Current Texas driver’s license.
  • Schedule: PRN.
  • Must be available to attend full hospital orientation (Week 1: Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM).

Responsibilities

Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116‑bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. The hospital is about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center and provides 24‑hour emergency services for children, adolescents, and adults in psychiatric and behavioral health, including intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Position Summary

The Intake Coordinator will assist in receiving, scheduling, and/or referring inquiry calls; assist Counselors, Coordinators and the Director with coordinating assessments, initiating intake paperwork and insurance information; and work with the Admissions Clerk/Receptionist to ensure a smooth transition into the admission process.
