Job summary

Desert Parkway is seeking an Intake Coordinator to welcome new patients, guide them through their first visit, and verify that records are complete and accurate.

You will respond to inquiries, check insurance details, greet patients, collect intake information, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment for all patients.

Collaborating with physicians and nursing staff, you will ensure compliant intake procedures and smooth coordination for ongoing care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience in healthcare or customer service required.
• Great communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail.
• Current CPR certification.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to telephone and face-to-face inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
• Greet new patients and help them feel safe.
• Check patient insurance details and benefits.
• Collect information and fill out intake forms.
• Assume responsibility in maintaining a safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for all patients.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and health professional affiliates, healthcare facilities, and nursing staff.
• Maintain knowledge of legal guidelines pertaining to EMTALA/COBRA and abuse/neglect reporting.
