Job summary

AdaptHealth is hiring an Intake Specialist to coordinate referrals, review clinical docs, and ensure services are set up accurately and efficiently. You’ll work with patients, providers, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements and eligibility, enabling timely care.

You will thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting, handling detailed documentation, while communicating clearly with patients about financial responsibilities and next steps.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• HS Diploma or higher required; Associate or healthcare admin experience preferred.
• Experience in administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility and compliance before service delivery.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibility and document interactions.
• Coordinate with referral sources and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Support team operations and follow company policies.
