GRO Community is seeking an Intake Coordinator to manage new client registrations, verify insurance, collect medical histories, and coordinate with clinical staff for appropriate care levels. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth entry into services and a supportive experience for clients.

The role requires collaboration with mental health staff, interviewing clients, and linking them to community resources while delivering urgent support over the phone when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field is required; high school diploma may be acceptable depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and track incoming referrals from various sources.
• Screen clients for service appropriateness and conduct interviews regarding mental health history and current needs.
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, and schedule intake appointments with clinical staff.
• Work with clinical teams for case assignment and link clients to appropriate community resources.
• Provide urgent intervention and support over the phone to patients in distress.

GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness, stress management, and community outreach.

Position Summary

The Intake Coordinator manages the initial registration for new clients, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure a smooth, efficient entry into services. They verify insurance, gather medical histories, complete necessary documentation, and collaborate with our mental health staff to determine appropriate care levels, ensuring a supportive experience.

Key Responsibilities
