Job summary

Visiting Angels In Jenkintown is seeking an experienced Deputy Director to serve as Intake Coordinator, handling the initial contact for prospective clients and families, assessing needs, and coordinating with the care team to transition clients into services.

You will manage intake calls, collect information, guide families through service options, and maintain confidential records while collaborating with scheduling to match caregivers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in intake or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong empathy, patience and compassion when dealing with clients and families.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all intake calls and inquiries.
• Assess client needs over the phone to determine required care level.
• Collect medical history, preferences and concerns from clients and families.
• Explain Visiting Angels services and address questions to build confidence.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in the database.
• Coordinate with scheduling to match caregivers to client needs.
• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and adjust plans as needed.
• Develop relationships with referral sources to promote services.
• Perform other duties as deemed by management.
