Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services, LLC seeks a remote Billing Specialist to process referrals, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and reduce denial rates. You will focus on improving collection rates while adhering to established procedures and credentialing tasks.

You will verify benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and coordinate with franchise partners and payers to ensure smooth reimbursement. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and familiarity with medical billing in

Qualifications

• Two years of Intake, Medical Billing, and/or Collections experience
• Two years of home infusion therapy is required
• Coding Course Certification is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness and accuracy; audit claims; submit primary and secondary billing to payers
• Communicate with franchise partners and other departments regarding order intake status
• Document activity and correspondence in the system; schedule follow-ups as needed
• Investigate and verify benefits for pharmacy and medical third-party claims
• Obtain prior authorizations; follow up to provide information; track progress and communicate with customers
• Track, report, and elevate service issues delaying authorization or care to avoid therapy interruptions
• Explain therapy costs to patients clearly before service starts
• Assist with training materials and processes for RCM; handle online adjudication of collections issues
• Perform other related duties as assigned
