The ideal candidate has strong California employment law experience, excellent legal judgment, and will work on-site in California. 4+ years of employment law experience is preferred; 5+ years is a plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 4+ years of California employment law experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with intake or vetting processes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prospective employment matters and determine whether to accept, refer, decline, or hold cases.
• Analyze wage & hour, PAGA, FEHA, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and accommodation claims.
• Communicate with prospective clients to clarify facts and assess case viability.
• Identify legal risks, statute-sensitive matters, and issues requiring escalation.
• Maintain accurate case evaluations and meet daily/weekly review goals.
• Help improve intake processes and case-vetting standards.
