San Juan College seeks an individual to provide coaching, case management, and referrals to help students overcome barriers and succeed academically and financially.
The role includes intake, assessment, tracking progress, and coordinating connections with campus and community resources, plus front desk support as needed. Minimum qualification is an Associate’s degree; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Compensation: $17.83 per hour

This position provides individual coaching, case management, and referral of students to remove barriers to success.
Guidelines include Federal, State, private foundation laws, rules, regulations, grant requirements, and college and program policies and procedures. These guidelines require judgement, and selection in application.
The work consists of individual achievement and/or coaching and student referral duties. The unique needs of each client contribute to the complexity of the position. The purpose of this position is to improve student academic success, persistence and retention rates. Success in this position results in the efficient and effective provision of those services.
Contacts are typically with co-workers, other college personnel, faculty, staff, and students. Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, to resolve problems, or to provide services.
The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, walking, bending or crouching. The employee occasionally lifts light objects. The work is typically performed in an office setting.

Associate’s degree in a closely related field is required or equivalent with years of experience. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate their experience working within San Juan College culture as well as working with SJC students and community resources.
