Austin Oaks Hospital in South Austin, TX seeks an Intake Assessment Supervisor to oversee the intake department, ensuring referrals, inquiries, assessments, and admissions are handled promptly, accurately, and with a service-oriented approach. You will partner with physicians, nurses, therapists, unit clerks, and case management to improve patient flow and safe admissions.

In this leadership role you will coach intake staff, monitor quality, prioritize assignments, and address workflow issues.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing (or a compact state) OR Licensed Therapist (LPC/LMFT).
• 2 years psychiatric nursing experience required.
• 1 year supervisory experience required.
• CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications obtainable during orientation.
• Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the intake department for a mental health hospital.
• Ensure referrals, inquiries, assessments and admissions are timely, accurate, and service-focused.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, unit clerks, case management and others to support patient flow and safe admissions.
• Provide leadership, coaching and day-to-day oversight to intake staff.
