Job Duties

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage referrals for admissions, including during day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend shifts. Key duties include screening referrals for appropriateness, offering information and referral services for those who are not eligible or when beds are unavailable, communicating referral details internally, and maintaining referral and admission statistics.

Minimum Qualifications

• Understanding of Code of Virginia relating to child mental health issues
• Good interpersonal skills/ability to relate to a variety of community agency representatives
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficient with the use of computers
• Knowledge & understanding of CSA and mental health resources for children and adolescents

Additional Considerations

• College degree in social work, human services, or other related field preferred
• Previous knowledge and/or experience with intake and admissions and/or child and adolescent mental health issues and resources preferred
