Job summary

The Recovery Village is seeking a proactive Admissions/Intake specialist to act as the first point of contact for prospective clients and families. You will conduct screenings, collect insurance details, and guide intake with the Admissions Director.

Role emphasizes confidentiality, strong communication, and a team-oriented approach in a fast-paced call center environment. Prior sales exposure and mental health experience are a plus, with opportunities to refer clients to appropriate programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Sales experience highly desired, especially Complex Selling.
• Any experience working in Mental Health or Addiction Treatment is very helpful.
• Maintain strict client confidentiality.
• Comply with state and federal nondiscrimination laws and policies.
• Work in a drug‑free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide the initial contact for clients with The Recovery Village.
• Conduct brief telephone screenings to determine the nature and extent of clients' presenting issues and service fit.
• Obtain insurance information when applicable.
• Complete intake assessments and discuss admissions with the Admissions Director.
• Refer clients to more suitable facilities when The Recovery Village is not an appropriate match.
• Maintain strict client confidentiality.
• Demonstrate a positive image and provide friendly, professional telephone service.
• Answer telephones within three rings using an appropriate greeting.
• Obtain key information to support first-call close and connection processes.
• Build rapport and establish expertise with callers.
• Conduct pre-admission assessments to determine appropriateness for admission.
• Provide program and facility information to prospective clients and families.
• Make copies and send faxes as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and co-workers.
• Follow The Recovery Village policies and procedures.
• Receive and screen visitors and telephone calls.
• Work as a positive team member.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Admissions and Call Center Supervisor.
• Participate in staff meetings as needed.
• Provide potential business development referrals to the Director of Business Development.
