Job summary

Wooded Glen Recovery Center in Henryville, Indiana is seeking an Intake Coordinator to manage front desk activities, phone triage, and pre-registration, ensuring a professional first impression and smooth admissions.

You will verify insurance eligibility, coordinate with insurers, document all call activities in the CRM, and support the admissions team to deliver high-quality service to clients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related field preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in healthcare admissions preferred; preferably in mental health or substance use disorder fields.
• Experience in client assessment, referral, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-admission assessments.
• Interviews client, family members and/or collateral sources to assure intake criteria are met.
• Generates, guides, and leads discussions with referral sources for client support and business development.
• Responds to and addresses needs of referred clients.
• Maintains documentation in the CRM and verifies insurance benefits for all admissions.
