Job summary

POWER is seeking an Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for women seeking treatment. You will coordinate referrals, conduct screenings, schedule assessments, and guide admissions with compassion and professionalism.

You will work with clinical, medical, and administrative teams to ensure timely access to care, maintain accurate EHR records, and uphold HIPAA standards in a trauma-informed, supportive environment at POWER.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years in substance use treatment, behavioral health, healthcare admissions, intake coordination, case management, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, electronic health record systems, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA regulations.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Act 73, 33, and 34 Clearances required for all POWER positions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals with POWER partners and manage inquiries.
• Conduct screening interviews (phone/virtual/in-person) to assess needs and urgency.
• Schedule assessments with clinicians and convey appointment details to clients.
• Facilitate admissions and ensure required documents are complete.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR and protect client privacy.
