Job summary

Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX is hiring for an Insurance Verification/Registration support role. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of medical/healthcare business office experience.
Basic PC skills including keyboarding; 10-key calculator usage; familiarity with office machines such as copier and fax.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance processes.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Verify insurance coverage and plans for all facilities at TMC.
Contact insurance companies to obtain benefits and pre-certification within 24 hours of admission (except weekends).
Provide online verification forms to case managers and communicate any pending items.
Interact with the case management department and assist with patient registration by collecting identification and demographic information.
Explain TMC financial policies to patients and collect patient portions.
