Job summary

CORA Physical Therapy is seeking an Insurance Verification Coordinator to support patient admissions from a remote location.

You will verify insurance coverage, communicate benefits and responsibilities, and maintain daily reports while using EMR automation to improve efficiency. This is a full-time, remote role serving Eastern and Central time zones with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel formulas, is required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are needed.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance coverage for therapy benefits, co-payments, limitations, and visit approvals.
  • Communicate benefit details to patients and practice staff.
  • Advise patients on financial responsibility (copay/deductible amounts and payment expectations).
  • Maintain daily reports to track authorizations and scheduling needs.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service.

What You’ll Do

As an Insurance Verification Coordinator at CORA, you’ll:

  • Verify patient insurance coverage for therapy benefits, co-payments, limitations, and visit approvals.

  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
What You’ll Need
  • High school diploma or GED.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel formulas (required).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Preferred: Experience in medical insurance claims, verification, or precertification; familiarity with online insurance verification tools and office procedures.
