Job summary

CORA Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to support front desk operations and patient experience in Estero, FL. You will greet patients, answer calls, verify insurance, manage referrals, and handle payments with accuracy and empathy.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, proficiency in Word/Excel, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Recent customer service experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Reliable, honest, and adaptable in fast-paced team environments.
  • Preferred: healthcare office experience and fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and build rapport at front desk.
  • Screen and answer incoming calls; take messages and relay info.
  • Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits and explain financial responsibilities.
  • Manage referrals and prescriptions; inform patients about first visit expectations.
  • Scan insurance and ID cards into patient files.
  • Collect co-pays, balance daily collections, and submit charges.

What You'll Do

As a Patient Services Coordinator at CORA, you’ll:

  • Greet patients warmly and build rapport through in-person and phone interactions.
  • Screen and answer incoming calls promptly; take messages, and relay information as needed.
  • Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits (where applicable) and advise patients of financial responsibilities such as co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance.
  • Manage incoming physician referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations to new patients.
  • Scan insurance cards, ID cards, and relevant paperwork into patient files.
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles, provide receipts, balance daily collections, and submit charges to the Clinic Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment; sanitize spaces according to CDC guidelines.
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Recent customer service experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Reliable, honest, and adaptable in fast-paced team environments
  • Preferred: Experience in a healthcare office, familiarity with basic medical terminology, and fluency in Spanish.
