Job summary

Palmetto Infusion is seeking a detail‑oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to support efficient patient care coordination. You will verify insurance, perform benefits checks, secure authorizations, and communicate coverage details to patients and providers.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of healthcare or customer service experience, and proficiency with MS Office. Monday–Friday, daytime schedule, in-office at our Columbia, SC location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year of healthcare or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and obtain insurance information via phone and payer portals.
• Complete referrals by benefits verification and securing authorizations.
• Review patients' insurance coverage and prior authorizations when applicable.
• Communicate coverage details and financial responsibilities to patients.
• Resolve authorization issues and discrepancies; follow up on denials.
